Hi,
In production environment i need to load file data on daily basis,so the file name format should be xxxxxMMDDYYYYHHMMSS.txt

How can i name this file and send the sysdate to a file name and what is the criteria which checks the date & performs load function

Thank you

You're asking a lot and not giving much specifics. For starters:
- Which way is the file going - into PC or out of it?
- How experienced are you in PC?

hi ArtieChoke
Only the format of file name is given to me
&
I should name the file in the above format so that based on current date loading is done from file to a table daily once..

and filename should display currentdate

You cannot name a file within PC. You'll have to use a batch command file. And to load it within PC, it must be the same name, so if you will be given a different file name daily, then you will need to use a session variable for the file name and update that every day with the new name.
