I have a front-end/back-end application on a network with several users. When trying to merge a query ( it has parameters) with a word document, user occassionally gets the error message "File in use. FrontEnd.mde is locked for editing by "another user". Click notify to open as read only." This happens even when they are the only one in the database. You just can't get into the word document without messing the merge fields up completely.
I thought maybe the ldb file didn't delete after closing, (which has happened before) but that wasn't it. Also tried taking the parameter out and that didn't do it. The front end attribute is "archive",...
Any suggestions/help?
