I am using Openserver 5.06
I am looking at a listing of files with in a directory using the ls command and it looks like this:
-rw-rw-rw- 1 aw304 group 400 Apr 19 17:18 TM0419D
the 17:18 has replace the normal year stamp 2004 like this:
-rw-rw-rw- 1 cam891 group 1336 Aug 29 2003 UJ0829A
This has apparently happened at the begining of the year because I can find no files with the 2004 year stamp. How could this have changed?

man ls
This is standard behavior.
Take a look at the -T option
Note: when you see timestamp with -T on, you have no idea of the year.

Hope This Helps, PH.

I don't understand your "Note:" My question again is- How could this have changed? or What made it change, or can it be changed back. Also what do you mean by standard behavior?
Is this something that just happens at the begining of each year or what?

When a file is less than 6 months old, display time instead of year.
