When viewing a dashboard in Outlook a file link fails to open the correct application and instead opens the file in the Outlook window.
The file link properties shows something like: Protocol: File Protocol, Address: File:\\server\folder\file.xls
On one PC, clicking this link opens the file in Excel.
On another it opens in the Outlook window, all garbage of course.
It is failing on both a Win98 and Win2000 PC, and succeeds on a Win2000 PC, all running IE 6.0
Anyone know how this is controlled?
Never stay up on the barren heights of cleverness, but come down into the green valleys of silliness.
