Hi,

I have 2 Microsoft Word files, I created one
myself with header, the second one contain an
image and text, it will be the cover (first page).
The problem is that when I choose INSERTION FILE
to insert one file after the other, it works but
not very well, for example the text of the first
page disappear and so on ...
How can I do to put the 2 files together without
problem.

Thanks for help

Hi Djessi,

When you use the Insert|File method, the inserted file is positioned at your current selection. Unless you have a range of text selected, nothing should be deleted. Obviously, though, you have to be careful to make sure the insertion point (selection) is where you actually want the file to be inserted.

Cheers

OK, to keep your Front Page with the graphic all you need to do it this.

Open the Front Page Document, then at the end of the document select Insert, then Break, you want to Insert a Section Break, Next Page.

After you do that on the second page you just created you want to view your header and footer. You will notice that the header had Same as Previous on the top right hand side of that.

On the Header Footer toolbar that pops up push the Same As Previous button, then go to the footer of page 2 and do the same thing for it.

Then you want to Insert File...it should be good from there!~

Hope this helps!~
