Hello,

My operating system is XP Pro. I use NAV 2002.

NAV has found 2 viruses in the following file:

beam.com

The NAV wizard is unable to delete and quarantine these viruses.

I guess I could just deleted the beam.com file but I get the following message:

"This is a system file. If you remove it, your computer or one of your programs may no longer work correctly"

So, I did not delete the file for fear that I would screw something up.

Any ideas or suggestions on how to remove these 2 viruses from this file? The 2 are:

safemode.exe IRC.Backdoor.Trojan
windate.exe Hacktool.Flooder

Funny thing is NAV states the latest Virus definitions include these viruses?

Thanks in advance.

When NAV tells you that there's a virus, there should also be a "more details" link you can click on that will take you to their website and give you removal instructions for that particular virus.

Just follow the directions, or search google for the removal instructions for those viruses.
