maybe this is not directly related to NT, but what is the difference between text and ascii files.
a short description will be very handy.

For most uses the term "text file" and ASCII file" are interchangeable. ASCII is the most common way of coding text. When referrig to a file the ususal meaning of either is that the file has no specific format. In other words there is no header describing fonts, fields, formatting, etc. The file is simply a string of characters.
Jeff
masterracker@hotmail.com

Of all the things I've lost in life, I miss my mind the most ...
