Hi,

Does anyone have any handy scripts for searching NTFS drives. In particular looking for mp3's / mpeg / wmv / divx etc etc.

Rather than using Start - search - files and folders

Would be a big help.

Cheers.

I use a program called LOCATE (
You schedule it to run nightly (or whenever you want) and it will catalog all the items on the drives you specified, and create a db. When you search, you search against the db which is lightning quick.

I've tried using other tools (including Index Server), but nothing seems to work better than this.

Hope this helps.
