file extension problem

I'm not sure what forum to post this in. Anyway...I have several images that are showing up as OmniRush Fax documents, which is my faxing software. They shouldn't be using this program to open with. I'd like it to use PhotoShop or something similar. Is there a way to change my settings so that OmniRush isn't the default program to open .jpg files (or other image files)?

If you're using Windows XP:

Right click on a jpeg and select Open With > Choose Program... From the list of programs select Photoshop (or whatever program you want to set as the default) and then check the box at the bottom of the dialog that says 'Always use the selected program to open this kind of file'.

That should do it.

Thanks for the suggestion. Even after I did that it still wanted to use the Fax program to open with. I eventually had to uninstall the fax program, and change all .tif files to open with photoshop.
