File Excludes And Long Filenames (ex: download.url.pdf)

Greetings,

Trying to use BE 8.0 and file excludes; problem is that files on the servers have dual file extensions:

ex: Troubleshooting.Pdf.Pdf
User Manual.Pdf.Pdf

I tried setting up the exclude for all servers from the text view, using something like \*.*.PDF

Has anyone conquered this problem? If so, can you share how you did it? I have hundreds of megabytes of data that fits into this category that is wasting space and bandwidth - help!
