File Downloads

I am trying to get a file to download without any prompts such as Open or Save. I want a user of our Intranet to hit the link and the file opens, no interuptions. Can anybody help me?

I think you can only do it for certain file types such as PDF, Excel, word etc

What sort of files do you want to open? what browser are u using?

Browsers handle files other than the default HTML/GIF/JPG based on user preferences set with the browser and operating system. As a web publisher, you have little or no control over your users in thos manner.
