Can not archive one users mail file. When I open the persons mail box from either the client or the Domino server then go to 'Tools > Archive' a message says 'Server Error: File does not exist' I have tried FixUp, refresh and replacing the design and these have not worked. The users Archive settings are the same as mine and many other peoples which work. How can I fix this?

Have you tried to open the user's archive directly on the server ?

Seems to me that that is the one that is corrupt, not the mail file.

I've got nothing to hide, and I'd very much like to keep that away from prying eyes.

Hey thanks for the reply. It does the same on the server (Domino 6.5) so its not a local problem with the client. Anybody else got any tips?

Thanks

Where is the archive file supposed to be, and does the file exist ?

It is set to Archive on the Server (the same as mine and about 15 other users which archive ok) in a folder called "Mail Archive\Mailboxes\a_username.nsf" But no file gets created. The archive log file does not get created either. Its like the archive function on the mail file is missing or corrupt?

So the archive file does not exist. In that case, either the design of the mail is corrupt, or the user does not have the right to create files on the server.

Since you did a refresh design and a fixup on the mail file, I don't think there is any use in redoing that. You may want to check that the design of the user's mail file has no element that prohibits refresh, just to be sure.

You might want to just create a copy (design only) of another user's archive file with the right name, change the ACL permissions and the Profile inside the new archive file, and see if that works.

That did not seem to work. Thanks for all the feedback I think I am just going to create a new mail file and migrate everything over.
