File Deleted By Mistake

How to get the file back which has been deleted by Mistake. For I know That It goes in Purge.

You can use the Filer Utility to recover the File from the directory from which it was deleted.

In Filer I went to available option
Salvage deleted file
View Or Recover Deleted file
Erased file name Pattern to Match
* File name " Please Wait"

Could not find any deleted file.
So What is the exact procedure

Hi,

In Filer before you go to the "Salvage Deleted Files" option you must set your directory. You will need to browse to the directory where the file was located by going to the "Manage Directories" (or something to that affect)option. Sorry I'm not in front of the filer screen or else I would be able to give you better details.

You know you can do this in Windows explorer these days? Right click the folder the file was in originally and choose salvage. It is also a choice in the Red N in the systray. Filer is nice but old and a little hard to get used to. Also, if the entire folder was deleted it might still be in the "deleted.sav" folder on the volume.
