MIS
I have Novell 4.xx server running a network with DOS and Win98 machines.
From the DOS command line on a DOS workstation, the command
type filename >> hutput.dat
runs without any problems(where h: is a network drive)
From the DOS command line on a Win98 workstation, the command
type filename >> hutput.dat
gives: FILE CREATION ERROR.
To determine if there is a file sharing problem, from the DOS command line on a Win98 workstation, the command
type filename > hutput.dat
works without any problem.
To determine if there is an output problem, from the DOS command line on a Win98 workstation, the command
type filename >> cutput.dat
(c: is local to the workstation) works without any problem.
I was hoping someone could try these commands on their machines in a similar environment to determine if the problem is unique to me, or even better, tell me what I have overlooked on my Win98 machines.
Best Regards,
