After running scandisk (win98) I have a cutted original binary file (file from MS backup, QIC format) and four .CHK files. These .CHK files seem to be parts of the original backup files.

Do you know a tool to put these 5 files together again? It would be important because the corrupted original backup file contained my user data and I must restore them ...

Thanks! Mike

simple solution:
COPY /b file_old.QIC + file1.CHK + file2.CHK file_new.QIC
fortunately the sequence of the four .CHK files was ok and the described solution worked well. data loss was minimal.
