File copy status/filegrowth

In windows 2003 Server Ent, when I copy a file that's 10GB, copy + paste, the destination file automatically shows 10GB. Even when you check the properties it shows 10GB. Now we all know that it's not 10GB till it's done copying. Is there a reg tweak to change this behavior to only display the actual file size instead of the FINAL file size?
