File content search not working in the OPEN dialog box

Using Office 2013. I need to search for file contents (using excel or word) before I open them. It works fine in Windows 7 where for example I Run EXCEL, go to the OPEN dialog box and type a keyword in the top right search box and the file names with content previews are shown. The same is not working with the same Officer 2013 in Windows 8.1. I cannot figure out why.....
