File Closes itself!!!!

When I open a .PDF document using Acrobat 8 (NOT using the reader) it stays on the screen for a few seconds and then closes the file.

Anyone else suffering this situation?

Anyone has a SOLUTION to tis dilemma?

I have the same problem. I am using Acrobat Pro 7. If I open a file on my desktop or a hyperlink to a pdf file it is ok, but a html hyperlink will just blink the page for a second or five and disappear. I don't have any pop-up blockers and I have tried changing the settings from open pdf in browser to open acrobat to no avail.
