The macine is a p3 1ghz,512m sdram, WIN2Kpro;SP3.The problem..whenever i right click on any icon either on the desktop or in any windows explorer window, explorer hangs up and must be restarted. The thread is Explorer.EXE where the app is explorer.exe(I DONT KNOW IF THAT IS RELEVANT)I have already ran the sys. file checker with no luck, also if i hit the file button on the toolbar @ the top of the window it freezes too. How do I replace the explorer.exe file or check it for integrity? The install has worked for about a year now without problems..I also ran a virus scan as well with inconclusive results (no virii). The only place i can right click without crashing or hanging is the open desktop,snap in windows(mmc etc.)and Internet explorer..PLEASE HELP!!
