File based V's MQ

We are running WSTX on the mainframe, and will be receiving and processing large payment files.

We simply need to just map the whole of these files and pass them into a COBOL program.

The map and the COBOL program will be sitting on the same "box"

Would anyone recommended using Batch MQ as opposed to just letting the map create another file??

MKMartyn: I have been in the same situation with a large global Online retail company. To be quite honest we had many issues with the MQ solution. I have some detailed information that may help Let me know any specifics you are looking for and I can detail them out. MQ can be a useful tool but it also has drawbacks depending on your enviro.
