Hi all,

Has anybody come accross the error " File Attribute Error"?

It drove me crazy last week and I could not figure out what was causing it.

I am using Mercator 6.0.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Jose.

This is what I found:

return code '25': File attribute error
When running an AS/400 Command Server, if you use the OS/400
data definition to create a file, check the definition of the output card to see if it matches.

eyetry,

Thanks for your reply!

Yes, I had seen that too on the Mercator help file; however, it does not tell me anything. I need to know the specific reason and the way to prevent it.

Thanks again.

Jose.

Mercator 6.0 is no longer supported. You need to upgrade to a current version. The error message has been fixed in 7.5.1 and 8.0. This is a bug and it has been fixed for most causes.

We are experiencing this as well. A daily inbound X12 820 just error-ed with the same return code. This is the first time this has happend.

Boca, is there a quick fix to the file itself to get this through? And before you say it, we are getting 8.0 soon!! :)

clk430,

In my case, it had to do with MS access 2000. I am using an Access 2000 database to log all our EDI transmissions and the number of records in a table was getting too big.

After I archived about fifty percent of the records, the maps ran fine. Have not seen the error since then.

Jose.

There have been several fixes to this area of the code since 6.x
