I have recently removed photo-paint and as expected it had hijacked all my jpegs, gif etc to want to open in it. I have since changed the file type def to open these types of files in mspaint. However it is not working.I can drag and drop, left click once then right and use open with but I cannot double the file and have it open in mspaint as the default program. The error message that pops up when I double click the file is "C:\my.bmp was not found" Does not seem to matter if the file is a bmp, jpeg or gif that is the message that appears. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thks,
Kelly

In the command line for which application handles the file association have you tried adding to the end "%1"

So it looks something like:

"C:\program files\accessories\mspaint.exe" "%1"

You are a gem. Worked like a charm. Thanks!
