Good morning

I have a legal copy of dbase III+. I lost the file "APPSGEN". This file was used to generate a menu in a simple and practical way. I used DB3+ in various software I developed. Please I need this file. I appreciate if a fellow guy looks in your old program to see if you still have the file. Please send it to e-mail javest@prtc.net

I appreciate your help.

Thank You

I don't recall any file in dBASE III+ called APPSGEN, but if it's true that it creates a "menu" (perhaps not the sort of menu that we would create today, but never mind), then it should be easy enough to do the coding by hand. Given that you are an experienced dBASE developer, you should know how to do that.

Mike

The dbase III+ app generator built format (*.fmt) files and then created a menu (with @ x,y prompt/MENU TO var). Each menu option would SET FORMAT TO (file) followed by EDIT.

That's all.

I ran it once, said "I can do better than that", and never looked back! But I don't remember it being in PRG form.
