We have a Unix Environment which is allowing Windows 2000 workstations to mount to Unix SAMBA shares. File accesses (reads/writes/etc.) to these shares are noticebly slower than identical operations to Windows 2000 Server shares. Is there an ideal smb.conf configuration which will maximize access speeds to/from these Unix SAMBA shares?
