I want to export to a FoxPro table and get the message that a File Access Engine (FAE) dll is missing. When I go to help I'm directed to the valupack folder on the Office cd. Unfortunately I don't have it anymore. I'm then directed to the Microsoft site, free downloads from the help menu option and download convpack.exe, but still can't export.
Has anyone solved this problem?

What version?
Did you download the correct version of convpack.exe?
Also, I wouldn't go advertising that you're using a program for which you no longer have the disks unless, of course, they were damaged. If that's the case, you should be able to get another set from MS.

Office 97 to FoxPro 2.6. I downloaded the Office 97 converter. I don't have time to wait for another cd, the help file also pointed to the web site for those who no longer have the cd.

Can't find anything with what I've got. What service release of office do you have? Open Access, hit the Help dropdown menu, then About MS Access.

SR-1, SR-2, or no SR at all?

What is the EXACT error message you get?

When you installed the valupack, did you have any programs running? Try a fresh reboot, then ctrl-alt-del and end task on everything except Explorer and systray. Then install. Shot in the dark...

Thanks. I did download the wrong converter file. I'm fine now.

Actually, I'm not. I can export fine, but cannot export all the fields I want. The most important would be fields to use as unique keys, 'from', 'date, time' so as not to have duplicates. I've used two machines and my archives are duplicated somewhat. When I consolidate I want to be able to eliminate the dupes. I thought I could do this by exporting to a Foxpro table then programmatically delete all the duplicates.
Alas, is there another way?

There is a find duplicates wizard in Access, no? Why don't you use that? Or export to Excel? I've got a formula to find dupes if you need one.

Yes, please would you post the macro? Thanks.

This is great! However, I still can't seem to export any date fields. Does anyone know how to get the date received and sent when exporting Outlook folders?

I've tried excel and a FoxPro dbf. When it comes time to choosing fields, even customizing, there are no dates to export.

Yes, I can see the dates before exporting. And unfortunately, it is Outlook 97, but there must be some way other than manually deleting dupes.
Whenever I export to a personal folder and specify no dupes, I still get them.
