SIR i have meridian 81c rls 4.5. with 2 rings. there are 02 cpu. i am confused that how FIJI cards are connected with each other. While there are 2 rings 0 and 2.

I have a CS100M upgraded from an OP81, and it goes like this: There are 8 FIJI cards, in the front they have a display each numbered G0S0 tru G3S1. S is the ring and G is
<------------------------< <------------------------< the card number, so the rings are like this |->G0S0->G1S0->G2S0->G3SO-> and |->G3S1->G2S1->G1S1->G1S0->

The direction of the ring goes from the TX FO conector to the RX of the next card. at the last card the FO is connected to the RX of the 1st card, thus completing the ring. I found out this chasing the FO tru the shelves.

I hope this is useful.

Yep, you have an ascending ring and a descending ring. Ring 0 and Ring 1. The G = the Group # and the S = the Shelf # Normal operation is half the traffic is on ring 0 and half on ring 1. If you have trouble in either ring the other ring can take over all traffic. The FIJI Cards replaced the old IGS Cards

We have had tons of problems with our fiji cards. they are resolved now(knock on wood) but when we were having fiji problems i really missed those igs cards. they never gave any trouble

I want to Restart my Medridian 81-c. What is procedure to give restart or it would be beneficial or not ?????
