that's all i need to know. cheers.

j.... do you spend you live in this forum:)
windows uses visual fieldset to arrange datasets. see any bigger windows app. however, html4 offers the same with <fieldset><legend>dataconext</legend></fieldset>. really nice. however, how do you group them in java?

thanks

Are you talking Swing/AWT here? I kinda thought you might be talking about things like 'property' panes, but I'm not sure!

BTW I do think Sedj lives within the Tek-Tips servers. He is always v.quick to respond. He is like a Ninja TipMaster [thumbsup2]

heheh... jep, sedj is. hmmm... property panes? i don't know what that is. but in your IE go to tools, internet options, and you'll see that fine and thing border around the diffrent contexts of the tab: general. that's what i mean.

Ahhhhh, I see. In Swing you can have a TitledBorder which look exactly like these. Have a look at [tt]javax.swing.border.TitledBorder
[/tt]. You can set these on Panels and they are quite versatile.
