I'm having issues with flow sheet reports that print columns of data and blank columns for the user to write info (basically empty areas of the detail section). All of the "columns" are separated by lines. It works fine with Crystal Report XI, it overwrites with the ActiveX viewer only.

The reports are run via our intranet with an ActiveX Viewer. On some PC's a data column will continue to grow horizontally beyond the width of the field overwriting blank areas and other data fields. The fields that do this have the Can Grow option unchecked.

This is occuring with different versions of IE 6.0 sp1 and sp2.

We are using BOXI XI with the ActiveX version 11.5.8.826

Thanks

Hi,
I seem to recall that this was an issue - Be sure you have the latest ActiveX viewer from BOE...
Try this,
Format those fields to 'can grow' but limit it to 1 line only and to truncate the value..

I'll try to verify if we have the latest version of the ActiveX. The fields are growing horizontally, not vertically. I've created formulas to return the Left x of the fields for now, but am not sure if there are other reports that may be doing this.

Hi,
The truncate part handles the Horizontal expansion but the 'can grow' with a 1 row allowed limit triggers its effect..IIRC, this was a workaround for that problem in the ActiveX viewer..
