Fields are locked

One of my users keeps sending me documents with mergefields and they are locked. I have a macro of course that will unlock them but I need to know what setting I can unset in the Word 2000 to keep this from happening.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The FORMS tool bar has the lock/unlock icon on it. By clicking on the icon the file should go back into document mode instead of a editable form.

To get the tool box, right-click on the speed buttons already visible. This will give you a list of all of the default and custom tool boxes available. Mahalo,
