Field widths in Datasheet view 2

Why won't my field widths stay as I define them.

I've drag them to the right size and saved the form, I've right clicked and used 'field size' and saved the form, I've froze the fields and saved the form.

Nothing I do works, when I open the form it defaults to random fields widths?

How do I fix the field widths in a datasheet view and make them stay that width ALWAYS?

Thanks,

I did, in datasheet view and design view

In then end I used VBA and the ColumnWidth attribute.

It worked on other forms, just this one refused to play ball?

This has drove me mad for a while now , but i think i have worked out the bug! (why does Access 2010 suck so much?)

... view your form in datasheet view, right click the column you want to change, select 'Unfreeze All Fields', then right click the column again and select 'Field Width', enter your desired width, click OK.

Save the form with the floppy disk symbol, close the form, when you open it again the column is the width you set.

It seems everytime you want to change a column width, you have to unfreeze them first.

Damn annoying to say the least!

Also I do not think freeze is doing what you think. Freeze means that it makes the column leftmost and always visible, not that the width is frozen.

well every time i set the width and saved, it wouldn't save the settings, if I select unfreeze first then set them and save it kept the setting!

All i know is there is a bug in Access 2010 and it's damn annoying getting the colum widths in a datasheet view how you want them using the access IDE.
