Hi

Got an Access 2003 database and it is fine, works perfectly. I have a report that shows a total of £10,000 for example. In access 2003 it would appear that if the field is not big enough it just show2s it, brilliant !!!

Clients are using same database using Access 2007, same report is showing the data as #####. To fix it I have to make the field bigger and then it shows it fine. Problem is the database is peppered with these types of fields , how can i make the Access 2007 just show the data and not hashes . Same thing happens on forms if a field is not quite big enough it shows as #### , examples are date fields etc.

Does anyone know if there is a setting I can turn off or something to stop Access 2007 using hashes.

Desperate...

Thanks for any help

Hope this helps!

There is a check box in the "Access Options" for "Check for Trunctated Number fields". Try uncheck it.

I would think you should increase the size to make sure the entire number displays.

Ah man you're a star!!

I appreciate the advice about the widths but like I say it runs fine in 2003 and the fields don't run into other fields. I have way way too many forms and reports to wade through ( 300 at least so a quick fix is better )

Thanks again

Hope this helps!
