Field not displaying all data?

I have a report that displays a lot of data. When I check the table for a particular record, on ONE line of the record, it has about 20 "lines" of information. (It's a "long" line of individual users).

However, when I base my report off the query, it only displays 1/2 the users. The field in the table is set for "memo" so it should display more then 255 records, right? But it seems to truncate it in the report side...is there something to do to show it all?

thanks.

Two possibilities occur to me:

* Is the control in the report set to CanGrow?
* Is the report based on a query with calculations or sorting - anthing except a 'plain' query?

Check the datasheet view of your report's record source to see if the truncating is occurring there. This is often caused by phrases in the query like "GROUP BY" or "DISTINCT".

In the report, the cause could be any entry in the format property or possibly placing the control in a group section.

Hey everyone. Thanks for the replies. I'll have to look into those. I believe this is happening in the QUERY. My report is based off the query and truncates the values. BUT, when I base the report off the TABLE, there is no truncation.

I'll have to do that Monday when I get to work. Thanks.
