I just upgraded from Crystal Reports Version 7 to Version 8. Everything has gone very smoothly, until it came to printing a Purchase Order. When we do the "verify database" I keep getting the message "Error opening file. There are no fields in the file PO_90_UDF_Purchase_Order."
Then, I get three of the same message, only it's PO_95_UDF_Purchase_Order_Lines.

I have no idea what this means. You guys have helped me once [2thumbsup], I'm hoping you can do it again!

Thank you!!!!!

Did you upgrade Crystal only, or did you upgrade your application as well? Is this a Mas90 file? Software Training and Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine

Try opening the report and doing a Database->Verify
database. If it sees something different it will warn that it need to fix the report.

If you allow it to do so, I suggest saving it under a different name, so that you can revert back in case something is amiss.

Then you might also try just creating a new report from one of the offending datasources and see if CR sees any fields in it.

This may even be an issue that one of the downloadable patches corrects if the above doesn't work.

This is MAS90, and we upgraded everything. It is when I'm in the process of verifying the database in Crystal that I get this message.

I tried to create a new report, but I can't even find files with 90_UDF or 95_UDF. I don't know what UDFs they may have installed previously, but I can't find any now. When I look at all the datafiles used in the original report (I have a backup), I still can't find it.

What's next? Can you help? Thank you!

I am no Mas90 expert, but this happens occasionally when you update Macola and the data file itself no longer exists because they have changed the data file or table name.

You need to find the new data file name -- most likely you will need to talk to your Mas90 consultant to do this -- and perform a set location. Then you will be prompted for a field-to-field mapping process if any of the field names have changed.

Please try this and let me kno wwhat you come up with. Software Training and Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine
