field from separate query in footer

How do I get the value of a field from a separate query in the footer of a report. I have a report based on one query. I have a summation field from a entirely different field that I want to place in the footer of my report and then subtract that value from my reports grand total. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. (Access 2007)

I sounds like your separate query might return one and only one record. If so, just add the query to your report's record source.

I figured it out. I did a dlookup on the record source. Thanks for the help.
