I've recently been given a Seagate Barracuda 18FC 18GB hard drive (fibre channel), and I'm wondering if there is any way to attach this to my SCSI controller. Anyone know of any fibre channel to SCSI adapters? I've looked around and found fibre channel to PCI cards, but I don't think that's what I need. The specific model # of my drive is ST118273FC and I just want to try and get it working on my 60 pin SCSI setup.

Any thoughts/ideas/assistance would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,

John

It's unlikely a simple adapter will work. SCSI is a parallel interface, fibre channel is serial.
