Hi,

i need to connect a fibre link from one of our partners to one of our Cisco 2950 switch. What's the best way? I have no fibre ports, just RJ-45. If i need a fibre converter please do recommend me one.

Allied Telesyn makes good fiber convertors..

Allied Telesyn Convertors work OK but we have had problems following
power glitches where the Cisco interface fails to negotiate correctly and comes back up in half duplex at one end of the link although the other is in full duplex.
We find it best to set both ends of the link forced to full duplex via the 2950
config.
