Fiber Upgrade

Option 81C going from Copper to Fiber Switch, fiji, clock, etc... our service provider has quoted us the upgrade and added a line item for Meridian Software? What is Meridian Software, we are running 25.40b, which was pitched to us that that level of software was fine for going from IGM to Fiber? Is this Meridian Software keycodes for the fiber upgrade? Need to know! I've left a message for our service provider asking the same questions but I want a as much info as I can get.

he's more then likely taking you to the current rls at the same time.. but be sure, that;s not a cheap line item

Yes no doubt, the item is $925. So they want to take us to 3.0 or 4.5? I'm still a bit leary...

For $925 I would upgrade my switch. I don't think he raising you Rls level $925 is way to cheap. I would ask him what the software charge is for.

There is an FNF (Fiber Network Fabric) package that is needed for this type of upgrade. I would suspect that is what the charge is...

Would this be a PKG upgrade and if so what are the PKG's?

I think...yes I do...every once and awhile...that the upgrade is for PKG 365 which is Fiber Network (FIBN)...it's in the DOC's, just gotta OPEN the DOC's every once and awhile, dust them off...
