FF auto logon

This has probably been answered before but...why do I need to log into a LAN site with FF but not IE. For example, if I'm using windows authentication for a site on my LAN IE won't ask for a username and password but FF always does.

Is there a setting to get around this, or is this just an IE thing?

It is just IE thing and no workaround for FF.
