Hi, I have to build a quote to put a new site together, and I have to compete with another installer that says he knows how to make it so wireless phones (t7406E) in the shop will be able to page through the horns in the shop (from a 7406e)without any feedback.

Anyone has a clue ??

One more detail, the other installer is trying to sell a BCM to my customer, yet my customer has a perfectly working ICS right now (with 30 sets and 8 lines). He told my customer he need to change his Mxxxx series phones since they are not compatible with the BCM. Is this true ?

Thank's ! I'm quite in a rush with this.

Vikingelectronics sells a page delay feedback controller. this is a device that takes a paging input and records it for up to 32/60 seconds (depending on unit) then plays it on the overhead system. works good but does not include the phone set speakers in it.

M7100, M7208, M7310, and M7324 are all compatible with BCM 2.5 through 4.0.

Bogen also makes a digital feedback terminator( DFT120.)Look at that and see if it will do what you want.

Note: when you do an All page (Feature 630 ) the page goes out over the phone, then a few seconds later it comes over the paging speakers.

Compared the price of the Vicking that Jerryreeve suggested and it is about 1/3 the price of the Bogen,so it would be a more competived priced unit to bid with.

The M7xxx phones have been around a long time and have all the bugs worked out,the T7xxx ? The biggest problem I'v had with M7xxx is coffee and Cokes.

Good luck on your bid.

Thank's guys for your input !
I will look for that paging delay module, that sounds very interesting.

The "other installer" is..... (can I name it, Can I ??) Bell Canada...

Apparently they also offered my customer an all-in-one solution for Alarm, Cameras, keycard door control, phone system(upgrade!) and cabling. My very humble opinion suggests the phone company should concentrate on providing phone lines and dsl internet.

Valcom also has a pretty good feedback eliminator- and they stack, using multiple channels. If the shop is really paging intensive, you can wire up a few CO ports and program them all in one pool, and the feedback eliminator will play them back in sequence.
