Hi there,

how do I tell fetchmail to retain settings after rebooting the PC?

example:
I have a correctly configured fetchmailrc file, I issue a command

fetchmail -d 1200

to have remote mail downloaded automatically every 20 min.

If I restart the server this setting is erased.

Please advise.

Life is what happens when you are making other plans.

addit to the runtime init.d scripts in order to run the "fetchmail -d 1200"

Cheers.

Hi Chacalinc,

thanks fo the reply. I am under the impression that each user can rn fetchmail after having created a correct fetchmailrc file in their home directory.
Each user can in fact set a diferent pull time interval and different mailboxes.

If I put it in the init.c dir, which user's configuration is it going to run?
I need to know if there is a way to retain single users' settings after reboot.

Cheers
