We have a Modular Messaging 3.1 system enroute, and we are playing with the idea of housing the system in our data center... remote from the office that it will provide messaging for. We have been told that IP connecting the MM will cause a loss of some features. I am curious if this is true, and if so, which features are lost? Thanks for the assistance. We are brand new to the MM world.

Are you talking about using H.323 trunking between the MM and your CM server? If so I belive you will lose the faxing capability and thats pretty much it.

With H.323 you also will not be able to do a blind transfer but most users will not notice the difference

Excellent. Thanks for the info. That's what I needed to know.

BTW. Do we lose queueing with H.323?
