good morning, does anyone know of a way to use feature codes or some other means of using the PBX to place calls via your smartphone? we have 2 CES servers and they're currently down due to age, etc.

but our user base needs the Avaya functionality of calling out from their smartphone, but showing their work number.

does anyone know if this can be done via some feature code or dialing sequence?

the CES app became Equinox, then became Workplace IX and now, not sure if it's morphed again, but looking for a way to manually accommodate some of our used base. stab in the dark, but any help is appreciated.

You need a SBC to register those phones as SIP
If you're not already SIP, that's a dog's breakfast

You can use this:

It just leverages EC500's FNU codes. So, in CM, you have DIDs assigned to features. In the app, the features are assigned those DIDs
So when you use the app and make a call to me, the app in the background dials the DID to get a free call appearance.
CM sees your cell# in off-pbx station-mapping for EC500 as the caling party and sees you dialed the "make a call" number.
CM gives dial tone
The app outpulses the digits of my phone number and CM routes the call showing your work number

You can do the whole thing with just EC500 without the app, but when you call the "make a call" DID you'll get system dial tone and need to dial my digits yourself.
The app just makes that a little more transparent.

Not sure if it's still supported/avialable on modern androids or iOS
