I have a BCM 50 2.0. On the front desk with the KEM attached, the transfer to voicemail does not work? I first checked and applied available updates and rebooted the system, and no luck. I need to get this working. Is there a hidden permission for this, or does the KEM change things? It does not even work if you hit feature 986, or if I program a button for that. Normal transfers are fine.

Thank You

First of all, it's KLM, not KEM. Key lamp module. Next, try disconnecting the klm and see if v/m transfer works. Might have a defective klm. Have never heard of F986 not working unless you have an old version software on the v/m. Also, try F986 on other phones, does it work there?

Also to transfer to VM you can not use the KIM (Key Indicator Module KLM is on a M7324 older phones)you have to type in to the dial pad the mailbox number. The KIM is for regular transfers to phones only.
F 986 not working ,Can you access the call pilot?

Feature 986 works on all other phones. I have the latest 7316E phone with the T24 KIM. It sounds like I need to make sure she has two intercom buttons first? I will take a look at that. I do have access to call pilot.

Thanks

OK. Now I have more details. I did make sure we had two intercom buttons, as well as two line appearances. But i am finding that the feature works fine if you key in the extension manually. I have the older phone at our Tampa office and it allows us to use the expansion module for that, but not on the 7316E I guess. THis is better now, but I would like to have two buttons for trans to vm.

Thanks

You don't really need to v/m transfer buttons because as soon as the m/b accepts the transferred call (which usually takes about a second or two), you can use the same button again to transfer another call to a different m/b.
