feature 986 not working, display shows no party conneted 1

hi all, i have been trying to get this to work but no luck,i have feature 986 programmed on a 7316e and when the user tries to transfer to vm it says no party connected. i have tried to change the port which the phone is on and swapped out the phone twice. i also tried to copy a working phone to it as well still no luck. this is the only phone on there system that is doing this. i have checked all the programing and all looks fine. the thing is that if i unplugg the set it works for a while then after that it stops working again. not sure what to try next other than to rewire the location to a new port and give her a new extension and just program her D.I.D. to her new ext. thanks in advance i know we have some great minds here.

Assuming the other phones are the same type (T7316e) and they all work (i.e. they don't have the problem), I recommend you apply the latest system update, and check to see if there are additionally any later core or voicemail patches. The latest system update should include a recent core and voicemail version. Failing this, try

for known problems. Failing this, go for the new port option.

guys tanks for the good info pkello right on i was thinking along the ame lines , cook 1082 thanks again and i did already try adding a 3rd ic .
