feature 983 doesn't accept password after CP backup

Hi,

I was informed that my Friend's Call Pilot is no longer accepting the admin password via Feautre 983 after a Call Pilot back up a couple weeks ago. The only other thing different was that the HTTP GUI was accessed for the 1st time and I don't know if this would make a difference on the CP.

Any ideas? or suggestions? ...also... What is the proper way to re-boot the Call Pilot?

thank you exsmogger! I do remember that and I documented the new password, but F983 is not accepting it... what's next? [neutral]


 
update: I used the password I documented to log into the CP web portal and it worked... however it will not work on F983.... I made sure to log off before trying to use F983... I then reset the Administrator password using the CP web portal and logged back into the CP web portal and changed it again when it prompted me to change it - this did not take on the F983 either??

Please advise
 
Thank you exsmogger. I was doing as you mentioned and I think I figured out the problem, well not figure out necessarily, but got a workaround. When I reset the Administrator password using the CP web portal. It defaulted the CP web portal to 4 digits and I found that if I logged into the CP web portal, it would require for me to change the password and this would not be accepted using F983. So finally, I reset the Administrator password and did not log back into the web portal; instead I walked over to a phone and logged into the F983 with the newly defaulted password and it worked. So as long as I did not touch the CP web portal after defaulting the password - F983 worked.

By design....
CP Browser wants the password only
Telset wants the mailbox # and the password together.

10255555
102 is the mailbox #
5555 is the password

You should always change the password to something other than 0000
