I am not sure if this is an Access questions or a network question. I know a little about Access and nothing about networks. I have a split database with all users running the front end off their local machines with their own copy of Access.
For testing purposes I ran the front end and back end on my computer. I tested it with multiple instances of Access running and it worked fine. Once I put the back end on the network, the application became unusable once more than one user was running the front end. Forms that took 2 seconds to load, took about a minute to load. Any larger forms just locked up the application. The front end is compiled, compacted, and is tested as both an mde and a mdb.
Anyone have suggestions on strategies or things that I should explore.
Thanks
