I'm drawing a blank. To get an extension to ring 4 times then be answered in another extension's mailbox...is it the FDN with no HUNT or both FDN and HUNT are the same???

Snowing flakes the size of 1/2 dollars now in CT

Hunt is when set is busy forwards to another extension. FDN is when the set does not answer after 4 rings. Make sure the dn is the same for HUNT and FDN for it to go the same dn.

To have the extension number answered by a different Mailbox add that extension to the mailbox.

For the other part of the post, you want the call to Foward on No Answer to voicemail, but be placed in another extension's mailbox? If so, you will need to program the first DN in the mailbox of the second DN under Extension DN's. This also depends on your voicemail type; if you are not using MerMail I am not sure how you would do this.

Hope this helps,

Scott M.

Got it. You need to remove the DN from the first mailbox before it will let you program it in the new DN list.

right, can't happen in both.. at one time, if the second set did not have sfa, the call dropped into the forward to mailbox, without having to change the mailbox itself.. haven't tested that in a while

that must have went away around rls 16 or so.. tested it here and sfa or sfd still goes to original dialed dn
