I recently got my hands on the OEM version of the FC5500 known as the SGI Origin FibreVault, and have been putting together a web page detailing useful information learned from my experiences.
The info there includes such useful tidbits as how to configure the array from the serial port, without any special commercial server-based software, how to "pretend" you have an SPS hooked up to the unit, some documentation links, and anything else of interest that I run across.
