FC adapters, vpaths, ESS storage drivers 1

I am using IBM SP nodes with ESS disks via FC adapters and SAN switch. Now I found myself rather confused about the software needed in this environment.

There are using type 6227 (32bit) and type 6228 (64bit) FC adapters. Now I would like to clean software modules on my nodes. My opinion is about the needed filesets is:

Common FC adapter driver software
devices.common.IBM.fc.rte

Device driver for type 6227
devices.pci.df1000f7.rte
devices.pci.df1000f7.com
devices.pci.df1000f7.diag

Device driver for type 6228
devices.pci.df1000f7.com
devices.pci.df1000f9.rte
devices.pci.df1000f9.diag

Subsystem device driver to be able to use vpaths
devices.sdd.43.rte

But I do no know if it is right or not... IBM support told me to update dpo.ibmssd.rte.433 fileset, but I did not find a little bit of information about. I suppose this fileset is obsoleted by devices.sdd.43.rte, but I could not get sure about.

Any ideas?

The fileset names are version specific for the sdd ( previosly the "dpo- or data path optimizer" ) You can check out the storage ESS shark website, it has versions and release dates tied to the fileset names.

you need the following fileset(s) :
ibm2105.rte

and for documentation purposes ev. the ess utilities :
ibmpfe.essutil.fibre.data
