I am running the following command from SYSTEMA;

fbackup -vf SYSTEMB:/dev/rmt/0m -i / -e /tmp etc etc etc...

It seems to hang at the same place each time and take forever to run....

Any performance tips you can give me?

Thanks in advance.....

0m is a Super DLT tape device that should fly through the little amount of data on the server.....

HP-UX 11i - servers RP5470 to RP4440 - autoneg 100/Full...

Can you tell where it's hanging, which particular file etc? Is the file in question open and/or in use by something/someone else?

It stops at an old tar backup that is not in use by any other user... And stays hung for hours... It was around 100Meg...

I think I discovered the problem. The system was rebooted and the Auto Neg went to OFF on our lan0. Looks like we updated the wrong rc2.d Net Config file when we turned it to On....

Will be running a test this weekend to see if this fixes the problem....
